Description: Collins. 1951, 1st Edition. Hardcover. Book, A fair copy at best of the authors 1st book. Part of the Glenn Bowman private Investigator series. Faults: Binding is loose(Not seperated) with hinges exposed near the endpapers at both ends(Front endpaper removed), Book is ex library & bears 5 ink stamps , The front panel of the jacket had been glued to the front of the bookand part of the front flap to the back of the front board. The front endpaper has been removed and there are small pen & pencil markings to the front board 1/2 title and back board. Several pages have small marks from various sources but all text is present and readily legible and the interior page quality really isnt all that bad, possibly worth a rebind . If it were a book going into my collection I would be tempted to just lift the book out of the casement and dropped in with new endpapers . Boards are worn & bumped to all corners with some fraying to spine cloth. In summary really just a reading copy of a very difficult1st title in the series. Fair/No Jacket.
