(binding very damaged and spotted [parts of spine lacking]; paper a bit browned; a few (2?) marginal tears [not touching the text]; paper not cropped; a few contemporary pen markings) ¶ Provenance: bookplate E.J.Kenney and ex libris Hugh Percy ('Percy Lion' atop a cap of maintenance; perhaps the 2th or the 7th Duke of Northumberland?) ¶ The correspondence between Gesner and Mosheim is dated between ca. 1730 and 1740. ¶ With (as usual) the Appendix epistolarum J.M. Gesneri ad Zach.Conr. Uffenbachium. These letters are book historical in nature, and mainly revolve around Uffenbach's library.
