The first part ends with a laudatory poem addressed to her. ¶ Title of part 2: Lezzione d'Egidio Menagio sopra'l sonetto VII. di Messer Fr. Petrarca. ¶ First edition of Ménage's History of Women Philosophers up until Anna Comnena and Heloïse, probably intended as 'supplement' to Diogenes Laërtius' Vitae Philosophorum. Although the History ends with the Middle Ages, learned early modern women like Luisa Sigea Toletana, Anna Maria Schurman and Christina, Queen of Sweden are mentioned elaborately in the second part.
