Both Jean Guignard and Gabriel Malagrida were implicated in regicide: Jean Guignard in the attempt on the life of Henry IV of France, he was executed in Paris on 7 january 1595; and Malagrida was accused of plotting the murder of king Joseph I of Portugal in september 1758.
