Zech]; very light foxing on upper margin on some leaves) ¶ Ludovicus Bernhardus might be Ludwig Bernhard von Zech (c. 1720-1779), sachsen-weissenfelsischer Geheimrat. His library was brought to auction in 1780. (/ Ludwig Bernhard von Zech wurde fürstliche Weißenfelsischer geheimer Rat und Consistorial-Direktor). ¶ Collection of letters (mostly) addressed to the learned bibliophile Antonio Magliabechi (1633-1714), librarian of the Palatine Library. As the title indicates, Magliabechi bequeathed his book collection to Grand Duke Cosimo III, for the establishment of a public library. In 1747 this Bibliotheca Magliabechiana opened; a hundred years later the Palatine library and the Bibliotheca Magliabechiana were merged, forming the core of the Biblioteca Nazionale di Firenze. In the Clarorum Belgarum, letters of luminaries from the Low Countries are selected and edited by Targioni-Tozetti.
