(dos refait; rousseurs; cachets sur verso titre, qq.pages restaurés) ¶ French translation of one of the first dermatology books illustrated with numerous photographs, by George Henry Fox (1846-1937), originally published in New York in 1880. Fox' classification of skin diseases largely follows that of Willan and Plenck. He was the first to describe impetigo contagiosa in 1864, and - alongside John Fordyce - the Fox-Fordyce-disease. (Ehring, Hautkrankheiten p.223-224)). G&M, 3996 (for the N.Y.edition): "a valuable atlas of skin diseases".
