Giusti, portraying the Italian prince Giulio Cesare Colonna di Sciarra Barberini, to whom Monaldini dedicated this work, engraved dedication-leaf, 6 (1 folding) engraved plates, 2 folding woodcut-plates, 12 text-engravings & 2 folding tables. Contemporary parchment binding, title in ink. (slightly bumped, spine-ends a bit frayed, old entry removed from upper paste-down, a few very small tears, a few pages a bit browned; good copy.) ¶ Oderico (1725-1803), was professor in theology at the Scots College in Rome, but he was devoted to antiquities; he arranged the medal collection in the Museum Kircherianum, and after the suppression of the jesuit order, went to Genua and was designated librarian of the national university.
