Description: Paris, Chez les principaux libraires, 1860. in-8. x, 193 pp. Broché (couv.endommagée, rousseurs, non rogné) ¶ Rare publication par l'abbé Jean-Xavier Vétu. Rare imaginary voyage; Célestin and his guide Almazel travel the planets, and the sun, discuss infinity with an angel, visit the Pole Star constellation, the Milky Way and Célestin meets his mother in heaven, who affirms that Napoleon is also in heaven, "vous le voyez maintenant a coté de Pie VII", and that the rise to power of Napoleon III was the work of God. They travel to Purgatory, where they see a.o. pope Clement XIV, and before returning to Earth stop in Hell where they encounter a.o. the abbé Roux, "the hired assasin of Louix XVI". Finally they land again in Paris. Curious ultra-catholic tract.
