Contemporary blind stamped vellum, spine with raised bands and title in cont.hand (vellum a bit rubbed, small tear in tail-end spine, annot. in ink on upper margin portr, stamps on verso-side portr., half-title missing; water stain in upper margin until p.xlviii, very rarely some foxing, pp. 416-417: lines in ink. Still, a good copy) ¶ Provenance on flyleaves: "Ex Libris P.J. Vosch ab Avesaet 1806.", and: "Ex Libris Petri Josephi Vosch ab Avesaet, ipsemet hunc Librorum d.d. admodium Reverende Domino .... Huberti Pastori Zutphania dignissimo vigilantissimo plurimosium Venerando. Festo Epiphaniae Domini 1820." ¶ Sommervogel IV.370.4: The chapters [...] Subdiaconi toletani Chronicon (pp. 285-456) and Diptychon Toletanum, sive de tabulis toletanis [...] (pp. 533-588) are not authentic; de la Higuera is perhaps the real author of these fragments. ¶ NNBW: Rev. Dom. Huberti is probably pastor Arnoldus Franciscus Huberts. Oud-Zutphen, 3.1(1984) pp. 13-16: P.J. Vosch of Avesaet was member of the city council of Zutphen.
