[xx], 720, [148] pp. Vellum (vellum slightly soiled, board papers loose, small stamp on flyleaf, last pages spotted in lower margin and edge) ¶ Supplement to Bellarmino's "De scriptoribuss ecclesiasticis" (1613). Casimir Oudin (1638-1717), French premonstratense historian, entered into friendly relations with Pierre Jurieu ("le fameux ministre Jurrieu"), went out of favour with clerical authorities, and was imprisoned in the abbey at Ressons. He escaped and fled to Leiden in 1690. Oudin embraced the protestant religion and was appointed assistant librarian at Leiden university.
