Ex library, with a few ink stamps (front pastedown, half-title, and page v), a label on rear pastedown, and evidence of a shelf label on spine. The upper board has been re-hinged and is a replacement that doesn't match the original (lower) board. However, it is a serviceable job that doesn't draw attention. Rear endpapers renewed. The text is clean; and the volume is very good overall. From the title-page, the text contains "all the compositions directed in the London and Edinburgh Pharmacopoeias; together with others selected from the most celebrated writers in pharmacy and physic." (Wellcome III, p. 343). .
