The second edition, issued in 1819, lists Amos Eaton as translator of this work, Pierre Bulliard's Dictionnaire elementaire de botanique which was revised by L.-C. Richard in 1799. Eaton was a respected botanist and educator who published several books about botany. (Shaw & Shoemaker 41977, the first edition, & 49286, the second edition). .
