Blind stamping to rear board. Boards have beveled edges. This is an inscribed presentation from Lowell to his good friend Charles W. Storey dated 21 Nov.1868 and signed "with the author's love." (The second printing was not undertaken until 28 Nov.) This copy conforms to the deposit copy in all respects being a first edition, first printing, with erratum slip in the rear. The sheets are state B (with a hand written correction by Lowell on page 224), binding A. A few minor bumps to edges and slight wear to head and tail. (BAL 13129) A wonderful association. .
