Includes b/w frontispiece plus four hand colored plates, consisting of two maps (one folding), one plate depicting Pan playing pipes among sheep, and a botanical plate. Translation and notes at bottom of each page. Pages clean for the most part, occasional spot of soil or faint foxing. Beautiful typography, clean printing. Plates are more toned than text. The second edition, at 390 pages, is often confused with the first. .
