Ex-library with usual markings. Good, Moderate shelfwear and some fraying to edges, heel. Some rubbing to cloth. Top edge gilt. Small closed tear to edge of front map pocket. Some thumbing to a few pages including title. Frontispiece engraving and tissue guard detached, laid in, very good with light soil to edge outside of image. Pp. ix-x detached, fore-edge chipped (not affecting text). Plates and plans in gravure, halftone and b/w; folding color maps have a few splits at joints, else very good. Double page plan of White Park, Concord, NH between pp. 232-3 has closed tears to left panel. Dedication page: "For the dear son who died in his bright prime from the father. .
