Contemporary ink ownership, dated 1 May 1859, of John Simmons of Deepfield, Staffordshire, England, who managed the Ulster Iron Works at Saugerties, NY, where he developed double-puddling, hoop-making, and cold-rolling processes. Binding is lightly sunned on spine, with sides gently rubbed, but crisp overall. Text and plates are clean. Fine. .
