A few plates have light foxing, and a few are starting at the folds. Text is clean. Some of the contributors included are J.F.D. Jones, James Wardrop, Ernst Alban, Thomas Copeland, William Goodlands, Astley Cooper, W.A.I. Schlagintweit, William Lawrence, John Hennen, and Tomaso Volpi. Langenbeck, the editor, who was professor of anatomy and surgery at Gottingen, also contibuted many articles. All articles are in German. Quite scarce. .
