The plates in volume two are a little foxed, but relatively clean. The fold-out map in volume one has two short tears. Volume one is bound in original brown cloth and is soiled, worn and chipped at the spine. Volume two is rebound in buckram with a leather label and is quite sturdy with the usual library markings.
