Twenty octavo volumes, plus a folio atlas volume. Volumes 17 & 18 published by Paulin, Lheureux et cie. Volumes 19, 20, and the atlas published by Lheureux et cie. The atlas volume is comprised of 66 maps, some are double plates, and some have touches of color applied. In a publisher's binding of cloth-backed embossed paper boards, with a printed paper label to upper board. Maps are very clean; though a few do show some light, marginal foxing. The binding shows moderate wear, being edgeworn, rubbed at sides, and just starting at crown, but solid. Text volumes are illustrated with fine engraved plates. Uniformly bound in a contemporary binding; red calf back, marbled paper boards, gilt-lettered spine labels, marbled endpapers, all edges speckled brown. Occasional, light foxing in some volumes, but mosly clean. Bindings are lightly soiled all over, with some occasional rubbing, and a few minor bumps at edges of certain volumes; spines are slightly darkened. An attractive set, offered with the scarce atlas volume; very good plus. .
