Title: Honk: The Moose.
Description: New York: Dodd, Mead & Company 1955. Later Printing. Hardbound about 9.25 inches tall by 7.75 wide 80 pages. Color illustrated endpapers. Description: Illustrated in black and white and color with drawings by Kurt Wiese. Waino and Ivar are two Finnish-American boys in Minnesota. When a hungry moose decides he likes the town livery stable, owned by Ivar's father, the boys are startled (startled clear into the safety of the office) at his loud, sad ''Hawwn-n-k-k''. How the boys (remembering that they are Suomi -- brave Finlanders), Ivar's father, the policeman, and the mayor deal with the moose (or don't) makes the subject of this entertaining story. This was originally published in 1935. BINDING/CONDITION: pictorial boards, reinforced library binding; EX-Library copy, with all the usual markings; the front free endpaper (along with half the endpaper art) has been removed, Fair condition, with a Fair dust jacket. The jacket has a library spine label. ISBN: 0012
