Bonn, famous medical men teaching in Utrect and Amsterdam resp. Study on the fracture of the hipbone, an injury treatment of which at the time of Houte's publication, nearly always ended in failure. [From the preface:] 'De behandeling toch van deze breuk wordt, niettegenstaande de aanmerkelijken trap van volkomenheid, die de Heelkunst, ... in onze dagen bereikt heeft, nog zoo zelden door eene volkomene genezing achtervolgd, dat sommige Heelkundigen de mogelijkheid daarvan in twijfel trekken, ja zelfs wel geheel ontkennen...': BMN vol.
