Contemp. half. clf, [signed binding, bottom of spine vol. I 'Brochot'] over marbled covers, spine in compartments, blind- and gilttooled. [Needs binder's attention, reflected in price!]. 3 covers detached, spines chipped, lower part of spine of vol. 2 detached, but present. Corners bumped and damaged. VII, 123243: Jaubert travelled through Spain in the years 1816-1819 in order to investigate the methods used to irrigate land, to study the technology invloved and to learn about customs, laws and by-laws. The ultimate goal being the improvement of French agriculture.
