Second and improved / amended dutch edition of this quite extensive and authoritative work on ships steam engines, originally by Seaton. A very good copy. In the first dutch edition of 1890 additions and improvements were made to chapters XIII, XIV and XIX. The second edition 1892 saw additions and improvements to virtually all chapters. 23 chapters containing a general introduction followed by specific technical details regarding each and every aspect of the ships steam engine.
