Description: London, Printed for T. Longman, in Pater-Noster Row, 1769. 8vo. In contemp. full polished clf., spine ends dam., corners bumped and rubb. upper outer [and inner] hinge split. [A8-Z8, 2A8-2Z8, 3A8-3B8, 3C4]. (XVI, 1-701, LIX [Index] pp.). (Quire Z foxed.). 14th edition. Apart from the binding defects to the outer hinge, this is a very good copy. Properly used and frequently consulted as with all good pharmacopoeias. John Quincy's dispensatory was one of the best 18th century dispensatories and frequently reprinted, from the 1720s onwards.
