A very nice set of 5 printed reports of the annual meetings 43, for the year 1834 [20 julij 1835], 45, for the year 1836 [24 julij 1837], 46, for the year 1837 [23 Julij 1838], (47) for the year 1838 [22 Julij 1839] and (48) for the year 1839 [20 Julij 1840], held between July 1835 and July 1840, of contributing members of the famous Institute for the Deaf 'Instituut Guyot', founded in Groningen in 1790. In the annual reports we find a survey of the financial position of the foundation, a survey of bequests, a survey of the departments throughout the country and the number of members, the number of 'Kweekelingen' [students, pupils] enrolled in the year. Meeting 48 held in July 1840 mentions the festivities planned for the celebration of 50 years 'Instituut Guyot', which will have a sober character, due to the untimely death of Mrs. A.M.L.Cremers, September 1839.
