(Bookplate on upper free endp.). Navarre, pp. 96/7: Faulmann pp. 28/9: One of the finest books in its kind of the period. Nearly entirely engraved. His method, adopted from Metcalf, is very concise. The work ends with a dictionary on 84 engr. pages.: Lowndes, p. 2388: The Shorthand Coll. of the New York Public Library, p. 195: "This copy is ... also variant ...[from] my other copy ... as the ... plates ...are much clearer and fresher ...
