(All edges speckled red and blue; 9 lvs. not touched or only partly touched by the binder's knife, viz unopened or partly unopened.). A very good copy of this quite popular book by Ross in the Dutch translation by Josua Sander [see van der AA vol. 6 of the reprint p. 26]. It was translated into French, German, Dutch throughout the sixteen sixties. A very extensive compilation of the religions and methods of worshipping throughout Asia, Africa, America, Europe from the beginning of time up to the 1660ties. The book is written in the form of 'questions and answers'. Approximately one sixth of the book is devoted to Asia and its religions, 40 odd pages for America and Africa and the remaining 570 pp. focus on Europe.
