Original half vellum over marbled brds., spine giltlettered. (50, I (half title 'Note by the printer'), I (blank), II (Note and colophon) pp.). Printed in a small print run: 12 copies A-L, 75 copies I - LXXV and a print run of 242 copies, of which this is number 30, signed at the end of the colophon by Leonard Bahr. Type used for the text set by hand in 14 point Palatino designed by Herman Zapf. For display 'Pascal' was used, designed by Jose Mendoza Y Almeida. Paper is handmade Tovil, printed dry. ADDED to our copy are a number of brochures and additions without which the book itself would be incomplete. These are often found missing! First of all: 'A letter from Stella', which is an epilogue to the publication. (Printed early winter 1970 - 71). Secondly: A photograph made from a print of the original negative taken by Dr Charles T. Silve, showing Emery Walker and T.J. Cobden - Sanderson in the courtyard of the Doves Press, ca 1904. Thirdly the original brochure for the book. Fourthly: 'Adagio' The private Press of Leonard F. Bahr, a brochure and bibliography. Added to these an address label of the initial recipient of the book Mr. Rolnick of New York.
