Title: Very nice copperengr. by Abraham Bosse of a party of 8, waited on by a small boy. The ladies and gentlemen are enjoying a copious meal, while at the door a beggar is lying on the ground with his crutches next to him. The beggar is chased away by a servant with a drawn sword.
Description: Bosse. No date (appr. 17....). Obl. folio. Very decorative copperengr. by Abraham Bosse, but unsigned. Meas. appr. 25 x 33 cm. No plate marks, Professionally mounted on a sheet of Japan paper. (A small rustspot lower part of the central chair.). With German text below the engr., 5 couplets of 6 lines. Bibl. Nationale, Abraham Bosse, savant graveur, depicting hundreds of Bosse engrs. in the same style and manner. This engraving not depicted. The total engraved work of Bosse runs to appr. 1500 sheets.
