Very nice contemporary binding in paste paper brds., containing 2 publications by Goodwyn and Crawford resp., originally published in 1779 and 1788 under the titles: 'The connexion of life with respiration; or, an experimental inquiry into the effects of submersion, strangulation, and ... noxious airs on living animals...' Crawford failed to realise the truth, which was so near to him.
