Jarraud, P. Leyat etc. They mostly depict prominent French figures from the period, including royalty, painters, scholars, politicians, pharmacists, physicians, lawyers, male and female, clergymen, musicians and composers, actors, authors, engineers. Most portraits of these men and women are usually hard to find, if needed for illustrations. Here collected in a beautifully bound uniform set of 5 vols., richly gilt red half morocco spines.
