Lindeboom, DMB column 503/4 & idem on Gerard en Willem Vrolik, c. 2106-2110: 'From 1853 - 1873 he was director of the pathological anatomical collection of the Clinical School...': Unknown to Cole. The Vrolik coll. still exists and is housed in the AMC: This copy from the estate of Vrolik, judging by the inscription 'de la part de la famille'. Gerard died 1859 and his son, a broken man after losing all 5 of his daughters, died in 1863. Dusseau describes appr. 1600 items. Lindeboom comments in Dusseau's bibliography of his works following this title: 'incomplete', suggesting that Dusseau's work on the Vrolik collection was unfinished.
