Gio Ponti [1891-1979] was one of the leading Italian architects, industrial designers, furniture designers, artists and publishers of the twentieth century. In 1950 he co-designed with Pier Luigi Nervi and Arturo Danusso the 32-story Pirelli Tower. This was only the second skyscraper built in Milan and was the most important commission of his career. It led to international commissions for Caracas, Venezuela; Baghdad; Hong Kong; and the 1971 Denver Art Museum. Good .
