With engraved illustrations throughout by Edward W. Kemble, including his famous frontis image of Huck and a freshly-killed rabbit. Webster as an alternative to the standard cloth or the optional sheepskin binding. The marbled paper on covers with some scuffing, also with small missing piece of leather at head of spine, mild cover edgewear, front free endpaper has a 2 cm area where outer skin has been removed (with a brown stain upon it). Overall, a well-preserved copy of this American classic, which is protected in clear polyester (mylar) wrap.; Octavo - 8 to 9 in. tall; [11], 10-366 pages. Very Good+ with no dust jacket .
