Darley are included at the beginning of each volume (including a tissue-guarded frontis illustration). An entry in publisher's "Dickens Works, Globe Edition." The publisher, Houghton, Osgood & Co, was a short-lived partnership between James Ripley Osgood and Henry O. Houghton. --- In full reddish-brown cloth-covered boards with titling & decorations in black to cover & spine. Back cover with decorations in blind and with mottled, darker brown coloration. --- A Fair-only copy with tears to cloth at joints, spine ends and to extremities. Textblock remains tightly-bound, though leaves are age-toned to some extent. Front free endpaper with damage from removal of something that had been pasted to it.; 16mo - 6 to 7 in. tall; 322, 312, 306, 336 pages. Fair with no dust jacket .
