Entry 469 in Everyman's Library Fiction series, edited by Ernest Rhys. --- In EL binding style 3 with full carmine cloth-covered boards and gilt-stamped spine titling; blindstamped Eric Ravilious-designed 'shell' to cover and brown topstain. In dust jacket with Ravilious 'knot' to front panel. --- With severe discoloration to cloth (turning it from red to a shade of orange) and rubberstamping to front free endpaper, else a clean, tightly-bound copy. Jacket with numerous small white specks to front panel (which may be paint), a good-sized tear at front joint, otherwise mostly intact and wrapped in removable archival mylar protector.; 16mo - 6 to 7 in. tall; xii, 320, 4 (ads) pages. Good in Very Good- dust jacket .
