Rendered into English from the Italian by George Chrystal. Indexed. This work lacks maps and illustrations. --- In full dark green cloth-covered boards with titling in gilt to spine. Volume lacks a dust jacket. --- The front hinge has been repaired, reattaching the textblock to the covers (back hinge had been repaired using duct tape); and with considerable tears to cloth at extremities, student's discreet inked notations to a handful of locations and black ink spots to about 4 leaves near p. 40.; Small Octavo - 7-1/2 to 8 in. tall; vii, 510, [6, ads] pages.
