Franklin Library "Notes from the Editors" booklet about this work is included. --- Bound in full brown "cowhide" bonded leather covers made to look like sun-bleached saddle leather, with four raised bands on spine. Spine titling, elaborate decorations to covers and spine, and textblock edges all in bright gilt. Interior leaves printed on high-quality papers. Brown silk moire endpapers, with matching sewn-in satin ribbon placemarker. Volume lacks a dust jacket (as issued). --- An about-Near Fine copy: bright, tightly-bound and probably unread, though with a little sunning to spine (which could be the intent of the binder to achieve the weathered saddle leather look).; Tall Octavo - 9 to 10 in. tall; xiii, 364 pages.
