With index to all four volumes in the set at rear of book. --- In dark cloth-covered boards with gilt-stamped spine titling and black and gilt decorations to cover and spine; top edge gilt and with olive floral endpapers. --- The maps are printed on papers which have tanned due to acidic staining, and with a tear to front free endpaper edge, tears to paper covering of front hinge, but binding remains tight; some soiling and rubbing to covers & mild sunning to spine. Overall a sound copy.; Small Octavo - 7-1/2 to 8 in. tall; 450 pages. Very Good- with no dust jacket .
