The evening Mission was so planned that the day bombers and their fighter protection would return after dark. This meant that as well as facing the Luftwaffe fighters over their own terrotory, night fighters were able to join the bomber stream unseen and bring many down within sight of their home bases, loosely inserted two TLS from the author (one signed and one initialled), together with some other notes on the content, very slightly cocked, edges tanned, light marks and small ownership label to endpapers, dustwrapper: a little rubbed at extrems., nicks to spine ends repaired to reverse, very good in a very good dustwrapper,
