Twenty-eight hundred copies of this title were printed for members of the Editions Medicina Rara Ltd. The plates for this printing were made from the original 1697 London edition. The paper used is permanent, natural Curris Rag bearing the private watermark of Medicina Rara. Our copy is one of 2,500 bound in half leather and French marbled paper. It is hand-numbered '895'. Included with the book is the publisher's slipcase and the first number of the 'Folio' which gives extensive information about this title. The book itself is in excellent condition, showing no signs of wear or soiling. The slipcase has a few nicks, and traces of soiling overall. Ill.: black-&-white illustrations.
