Title: Two Important Books
Description: Moundsville. W.V.: Self-published, ca. 1948. 8 1/2 x 11 in. Mimeographed broadside. Discusses "The Roosevelt Myth" by John T. Flynn and "Of Flight and Life" by Charles A. Lindbergh. In the former we learn such things as that F.D.R. was "played for a sucker all across the board by Joe Stalin" at Yalta. In the latter we learn, despite the inclusion of a "good deal of mysticism and religion and considerable awed discussion of the horrors of atomic rocket and germ warfare," the "hard core of the Lindbergh philosophy: that we've knocked Hitler out only to find Soviet Russia a greater menace to us than Germany ever was." Tuttle concludes: "If we could only elect men like Lindbergh and [Herbert] Hoover to Congress, we could keep out of foreign wars and bring back Christian Americanism." This copy bears the rubber stamp of "Women's Voice," 537 So. Dearborn St. Room 803, Chicago 5, Ill.
