Hinges worn, covers rubbed, several cracks to backstrip, a little loss to ends of spine, some rubbing to spine, 18th century ex-libris label to inside front cover (features a knight with a drawn side and a gryphon? within a border), ex-libris stamp to inside front cover, prev. owner's name (same as for ex-libris label) and date (1767) to front endpaper, a label appears to have been removed from the verso of the title-page, contents o/wise good. Includes essays on Rules for Conversation; The Study of Astronomy Recommended; Reflections Upon the Jews; The Natural History of Ants; On Bets, and the Custom of Pitting, as practised at White's etc. 376pp.
