Wilars de Honecort [c1175-1240] was a French master mason. Includes descriptions and commentary on the thirteenth century architectural drawings. The drawings include sacred or emblematic figures, secular figures, animals, architecture and construction, drawings, practical geometry, masonry, carpentry machines and receipts. This volume was the only source in English of the Villard manuscript for a century.. G : in Good condition. Cover rubbed and bumped with corner wear. Spine rubbed with two small nicks on front and rear joint. Scattered foxing throughout. Bookplate on paste-down .
