At one time used by Matthew Phillips for handwriting practice in 1796, though beautifully executed he has used of the rear endpaper and the reverse of all of the plates to practice his name.. Worn condition. Leather worn - external joint split with text block split in two. Frontis and fep missing. Some foxing, affecting the plates to varying degrees. Bookplate to front paste-down .
