Description: Boston: Ticknor and Fields, 1867. Hardcover. Title page of this book is handwritten "Mrs. D. M. Craik" in ink on the area above the Ticknor logo. It was probably written there by a librarian, not actually a signed copy, as it initally appears to be. There is a cut along the edge next to the title page and the pastedown brown endpaper; it is not known if there was a page cut out or not, it may be an overlap of the brown pastedown. The pastedown has a glued library label. Mrs. Craik, an English novelist, was also known as Miss Mulock, born Dinah Marie Mulock (1826-1887) Book has 262 pages. Blue, decorative cloth boards, edges rubbed. MIss Mulock's Poems written on the spine. Bright gilt edges. Preface states : "Many of these Poems, extending over a period of several years, have appeared anonymously in Chamber's Journal and elsewhere..The present edition in the "Blue and Gold" series contains many pieces not heretofore collected".
