In this copy the title-page of the Sumario (pages 719-770 of volume 2) is dated 1617. Contemporary vellum, remains of ties. Title page of volume 1 repaired (with loss of 3 letters) and mounted; new front and rear endpapers; some dampstaining in preliminaries; margin of leaf Y3 shaved; some worming in lower margin towards middle of volume 1 (without loss of text). Title-page of volume 2 repaired at fore-edge (first word of title 'Historia' heavily cropped); outer margins of final page repaired; minor wormhole repaired in upper margin of gatherings Aa-Bb (without loss of text). Some discolouration in both volumes and occasional shaving of running titles; occasional underlining and marginalia in ink in an early hand.
