Description: Splendidly bound set of this chronological history of France written by the French historian François Eudes de Mézeray (1610-1683), first published in 1667-1668. The history begins with the reign of Faramond and ends with that of Henry IV. The supplement treats France's origin and history before the reign of Clovis. The Abrégé went through at least 15 editions between 1668 and 1717.
