(Explication of the ordinances, and Notes on some of the articles) + 1 folding plate (facing p. 177), heraldic former owner's stamp on endpaper 'Ex Libris Mr. H.A. v.d. Wall Bake', later library half cloth binding, gilt title and lining on spine, some rubbing. Inside crisp. ¶ French and Dutch parallel text of the Criminal Ordinances of King Philip of Spain, last count of Holland, published for the use of his country of the Netherlands. The text of the Ordinances is printed after the edition published in 1570 in Antwerp by Christoph Plantin. With half title in French and in Dutch: 'Ordonnance, edict et decret du roy nostre sire sur le faict de la justice criminelle es Pays Baz ... Ordinancie, edict, ende gebot, onss-Heeren des conincx, op Tstuck van de criminele justicie in dese zyne Nederlanden'.
