Very nice copy original copy of the well-known work on dueling by Louis Alfred Le Blanc, Comte de Chatauvillard [also Chateauvillard] (1799/1800-1869), a wealthy and accomplished man, who moved in the highest levels of society. On pages 8 - 85 the author describes the French Code. He believed that even though dueling was illegal, there were rules that should be followed in affairs of honor.
